Some companies and organizations are fortunate enough to have big budgets to pay web designers and SEM (search engine management) firms. The organizations and companies that Alternative Web Areas teams up with are those important causes for which the public needs to know about but may be limited to trying to figure out how do do their own website, or just can not find the time or interest to do so. AWA will work with these clients to find a way to get their message not only published on the World Wide Web, but make sure that people see it.
We don't have rates, however if an organization has funding available we will accept it. We are very grateful for these clients as we do need supplies such as computers software and lunch, so if your organization is able to fund our ongoing work we look forward to accepting contributions. More important than the money is for us to find a way together to get your message out. These rates can be negotiated up or down. Trading for goods or services is also encouraged (in other words, "will work for food"). Another great way to support us is to support our clients. Geoffrey will initiate projects and delegate them to others based on specific skills and timing. We work as freelance agents, so separate payments may be requested.
We can set up an interactive site using Drupal or Joomla allowing you to add and edit content of the website.
If you have a deadline, let us know. We will let you know before beginning on a project if this is reasonable. Please be patient and know that we are doing our best balancing all projects for all clients. The most important thing for the client to expedite the work is to be as specific as possible with requests. Urgent contextual changes to the site will be handled immediately.
